Photography for Sabbath Cycles
Clear Aperture Media is proud to have recently partnered with Sabbath Cycles, an emerging Milton Keynes-based bicycle repair and maintenance business. With Sabbath Cycles opening their brand new workshop at The Old Bath House, Wolverton, Sabbath Cycles needed a media partner to create a portfolio of photographs to support their brand.
We at Clear Aperture Media are passionate about supporting local businesses and creating deep connections with the community. When asked to partner on this project, our mission was clear: to encapsulate the essence of Sabbath Cycles' work in photographs that would enhance their marketing and brand awareness, and make sure they stood out in the market.
The Opportunity
Sabbath Cycles' transition to their new workshop was an opportune moment to showcase not just the space but the core values they bring to every project: professionalism, quality, energy, and creativity. A significant part of Sabbath Cycles' offering includes creative bicycle artwork and custom spray paint jobs. The primary challenge was to convey the motion and spirit of cycling in static images, while ensuring each photograph reflected the brand’s creativity and over 30 years of industry knowledge.
Our Approach
Understanding the unique blend of art and mechanics at the heart of Sabbath Cycles, Clear Aperture Media embarked on this project with a strategy to bring static images to life. We employed a creative ‘light trail’ technique, a photographic method that captures light movement within a still frame, to imbue the images with a sense of motion and vitality. This method perfectly mirrored the essence of cycling – movement, freedom, and fluidity. The photo sessions conducted in and around the newly inaugurated workshop were meticulously planned to highlight the brand’s professionalism, quality, energy, and creativity, all while conveying a familiar and personable customer experience.
The Result
The collaboration with Sabbath Cycles resulted in a collection of photographs that truly encapsulate the brand's ethos. The images, teeming with energy and movement, offer a window into the world of Sabbath Cycles, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship and creative flair that go into each job. This project has laid a strong foundation for Sabbath Cycles to elevate their marketing and brand awareness, showcasing their new workshop and unique offerings to a wider audience.
